Researchers Have Identified Genetic Factors Behind Degenerative Eye Disorder

Researchers at the University of Liverpool have identified genetic changes in a gene found in more than 12% of patients with a degenerative eye disorder.  A new Genetic Link, termed ZNF469, may lead to understanding why people develop keratoconus, a degenerative eye condition in which the cornea changes leading to severe nearsightedness and high amounts of astigmatism.   Read More…
